Fouras-les-Bains
As early as 1850 Fouras became spa and continued to develop into a seaside resort with the arrival of the railway in 1884 and more recently since 1945 with the trend in sailing. There are 5 fine sandy beaches. Grande Plage : supervised-bathing at all times. Plage Nord / Plage Sud : supervised. Plage de l'Espérance : a haven for windsuf and kitesurf.

Fouras, located on the Atlantic Ocean near La rochelle (20 minutes) and Rochefort (10 minutes), has a great geographical position : Just infront of the islands (Oléron, Madame, Aix, Ré, Fort Boyard and Fort Enet).
